OUTREACH

Our Outreach program seeks to mobilize Waymaker.Church to bring God's glory to the nations, to
endear our community with compassion, and to love and support foster and adoptive children and
their families.

LOCAL

Mobilizing Waymaker.Church to endear our community.
We seek to bring hope to those who are within our local community and provide opportunities for you to be the hands and feet of Jesus by putting our faith into action.

FOR LYNCHBURG COMMUNITY SERVICE INITIATIVE

For Lynchburg is a Waymaker.Church intiative created to serve and care for our community in the greater Lynchburg area. Throughout the year, we coordinate service projects and events to serve our community.

ACTS 6

This initiative is designed to help support others in our community that have needs that we can meet.

LOCAL PARTNERS

CarePortal

CarePortal exists to help hurting children and families. It brings together diverse constituents to support children and families in crisis. Needs are met through physical, financial, and labor donations.

Impact Circles

Impact Circles exists to expand the natural support systems of at-risk youth who are aging out of foster care. Our goal is to widen and strengthen our youth’s relational circles so they have a positive and diverse community.

Park View Missions

Food for Thought exists to provide students with nutritious meals as they leave school on Friday afternoons to sustain themselves over the weekend.

25 INITIATIVE

As of 2024, Waymaker.Church is setting out to send 2,500 goers to our neighbors and the nations. What does this look like? We are praying that God would allow us to plant 25 churches, send 250 missionaries to unreached people groups, and send out 2,500 total goers in the next 25 years.

GLOBAL

Mobilizing Waymaker.Church to bring God's glory to the nations.

AFRICA | MAY 13-23, 2025

Starting in 2012, we built a partnership with Sports Outreach to restore a village in Gulu, Uganda named Pugwini. Our church worked with this village for six years as we helped to start a school, build a piggery, teach the village how to earn a living with our SEED program, and plant a church. We grew alongside this village and encouraged our brothers and sisters on the other side of the world as we built this partnership. Then in 2018, God called our church to multiply and move to a new village in need of partnership. This new village was Wilul. We are blown away by what God is doing in this village. Revival is sweeping through the village as the elders have come to believe in and follow Jesus. These elders walk hours out of the way to come to Sports Outreach to hear the Word and to learn how to farm. The elders have stated that they want us to partner with them and help them grow, not for us to do it for them, but to walk with them. We have committed to partnering with our new brothers and sisters and through church in the jungle, open-air evangelism, and so much more, we have seen many people from all ages come to believe in and follow Jesus.

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC | JULY 26 - AUGUST 1, 2025

We have an incredible partnership in the Dominican Republic where we will be work with Sports Outreach to make a way for the life-changing news of Jesus to be brought to the people who call the Dominican Republic home. This is an incredible first step in our global trips as you will do everything from sharing the gospel, to children’s ministry, using sports as a tool for evangelism and more. We are praying that this trip will build lasting relationships that are transformed by the gospel.

SRI LANKA | SEPTEMBER 12-20, 2025

We partner with For All Mankind Movement (FAMM) to bring the gospel to Sri Lanka. With a population of over 21 million people, largely unchurched, there is a great need for the good news of Jesus Christ. FAMM exists to initiate, nurture, and facilitate disciple-making movements which result in biblical church planting among the unreached. Our trips to Sri Lanka are built on this foundation to make disciples and grow the church. It is a very gospel-centric trip where we have been seeing hundreds of people believe in and follow Jesus each time we go. We minister to people through compassion parties where we use gifts as a tool to share the hope of Jesus to a country that is largely Buddhist.

WASHINGTON D.C. | OCTOBER 9-13, 2025

Washington, D.C., our nation’s capital, is a city steeped in history and significance. Not only does this beautiful city serve as the epicenter of American politics, but it also boasts a rich cultural scene with historic museums and iconic landmarks. In Washington D.C., we get to partner with pastors who are hard at work to spread the love of Jesus amidst all of this. Our team will serve as an encouragement and help meet real needs as we assist with service projects, kids’ ministry, outreach, and more. We will be partnering with Praying Pelican Missions to bring the gospel to D.C. This is the perfect trip for whole families to go on together!

MOSAIC

We want to see every child experience the love of God in the context of family. We also want to raise awareness and provide support for foster and adoptive children and their families.

Mosaic Together

Welcoming a child through foster care or adoption can be very isolating. This team provides support and provides for practical needs that these families have.

Meals

Welcoming a new child into your home is a pivotal transition time that we get to step into and provide meals and support when families need it most.

Mosaic Night Out

Through Mosaic Night Out we invite families to come for a relaxing evening with community, connection, food, and free childcare.

Bags

Oftentimes children enter into the foster care system with no possessions of their own. Through Mosaic Bags, we provide each child with something they can call their own and important supplies for the families welcoming them into their homes.

Foster Care

The Foster Care system is filled with hundreds of children from our community who need love, family, and a safe place to live.
