THE CHURCH’S MISSION IS TO BE BOTH
DEEP&WIDE

Our love for God and one another is to be
DEEP
Our love for our neighbor and the nations must be
WIDE

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors, and teachers to EQUIP his people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be BUILT up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become MATURE, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11-13

THE CALL TO GO DEEP&WIDE COMES DOWN TO FOUR BIG ACTIONS

1. DEEPEN THE BODY
1. DEEPEN THE BODY

Imagine a church body built up in maturity to build the Kingdom of God in our city through new discipleship pathways, deeper care, and greater compassion.

59% of Millenials who were raised in the Church have stopped attending altogether

Through discipleship pathways like our Rooted Groups, our goal is to make disciple-making Jesus followers who have a rich faith in Jesus and share Him with their neighbors and the nations.

At its launch, we had 180 people go through the ten weeks of our Rooted curriculum.

2. DEVELOP NEW LEADERS
2. DEVELOP NEW LEADERS

Imagine a leadership pathway resourced and developed to equip disciples of Jesus Christ for our community, the church, and the nations.

77% of organizations report that leadership is lacking. 43% of pastors considered leaving ministry this past year. 10,000 Baby Boomers retire daily, leaving an ever-growing gap in wise leadership.

Through our development programs at Waymaker Institute, we are committed to developing high-character and high-capacity leaders that are not only physically equipped, but spiritually and relationally equipped.

To date, we have sent out 67 people from our church to go into the world and share the Gospel of Jesus.

3. DEPLOY THE CALLED
3. DEPLOY THE CALLED

Imagine seed money and resourcing to send out 2500 people in the next 25 years that will reach new people and new places with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In order to reach everyone in the United States, 416,000 churches will need to be planted by 2050. In addition, 69 nations across the globe are without access to the Gospel.

In 2023, we launched our Church Planting Residency to equip and train church planters to go out into areas of the U.S. that are unchurched or dechurched.

Our hope is to help support three church plants in the next two years. In order to do this, we must establish a church network and fund in 2024.

4.DIMINISH THE DEBT
4.DIMINISH THE DEBT

Imagine being debt-free on our current mortgage in the next 10 years, along with a building expansion. Diminishing our debt will allow us to serve hundreds more kids and families so that future generations of our church carry greater love rather than a lingering mortgage.

Our Family Ministry has grown 71%
since opening our doors in 2020.

Each Sunday, we come close to maximum occupancy in each class and we never want to turn anyone away because of space limitations.

That is why we must expand in the next three years.

AT WAYMAKER.CHURCH, GENEROSITY IS OUR RESPONSE

Deep&Wide will take audacious prayer, united sacrifice, and radical obedience.
So, how do you play a part? Pray for how God wants you to increase your giving
or start consistently giving.

OUR GOAL

INCREASE OUR ANNUAL BUDGET BY 40%

Is there room in the current annual budget to cut costs in order to help us meet our goal?

We have gone through this process with our staff and finance team. Adjustments have been made to our annual budget to allow more margin for the Deep&Wide actions.

Are we asking each family to increase their giving by 40% or encouraging non-givers to start giving?

We are asking each family to prayerfully consider and be obedient to what God is asking of them regarding Deep&Wide. For some, that will be to simply start giving in some aspect. For others, it will be an increase to their regular giving. It could also be a one-time gift outside of regular giving. We are inviting each family to pray and ask God what their part is in this. We are believing that this will accumulate to a total of a 40% increase in our annual income.

What is the church’s stance on tithing 10% as a base to giving?

We believe that tithing is Biblical. There are many examples in the Bible of people giving their first fruits back to God. Our focus is teaching people to live a life of generosity through regular sacrificial giving. That will look different for different individuals, but ultimately, it’s the heart behind the giving.

Do I need to designate my giving to Deep&Wide?

The vision of Deep&Wide will be fueled by our Waymaker Fund. You can start or continue to give to our Waymaker Fund.
